Dr. D Asks some important questions of interest to Berkeley Heights residents - Chiropractor Berkeley Heights Dr. D Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What causes vertebral subluxation complexes?
Chiropractors acknowledge three types of stress: physical, chemical and emotional. When the adaptive capacity of your body is compromised, weakened areas along the spine can become involved. Muscles tighten, spinal joints lock up and nearby nerves are affected. The purpose of chiropractic care is to find these areas and restore balance, alignment and motion.

Your Second Visit

On your report visit we explain what we found and how we may be able to help you.The second visit is called the report of findings and is a 20 minute session when Dr. D. reviews with you your diagnosis, what is wrong and the course of treatment .

Research has shown that only 23% of this information is actually remembered, so please bring a family member, friend or spouse along to get as much information as possible from the doc. Any test results, including x-rays, will be reviewed at this time.

Also, since there are no surprises in our office, we will also do a financial consultation and go over the expected costs for your care, on this visit, too.

After all of the talking is over and your questions are answered, you will also receive an adjustment and any other treatments that you will need to respond as quickly as possible.
