Dr. Christopher J. (CJ) DeFabio continues the family legacy as a third-generation chiropractic physician.
Prior to treating patients in New Jersey, he was practicing in Chicago, part of an integrative clinic. This experience provided him the clinical tools to approach patient centered care through a conservative multidisciplinary scope. Moreover, his time in private practice was preceded by obtaining a chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL.
His journey to becoming a chiropractor began as a Division 1 Cross Country and Track & Field athlete at Rutgers University, as he attributes chiropractic care to remaining injury free and performing at peak potential. This experience led him to have a focused interest in treating athletes and sports related injuries.
Another area of specialty for Dr. CJ DeFabio is treating pregnant and perinatal patients. To that end, he is a Webster certified provider through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).
As an avid learner, he enjoys reading and contributing to research. In addition to being a peer reviewer, he has also coauthored publications in medical literature 1,2 . Currently he is enrolled in a graduate program at the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine. Through this, his goal is not only to be a chiropractic physician but also a licensed acupuncturist so he may better serve his patients.
